The Miami Dolphins extended the suspension of offensive lineman Richie Incognito on Friday, but they also will begin paying him. Miami suspended Incognito without pay after an incident in which Jonathan Martin alleged Incognito was bullying him in various ways. The NFL is currently investigating the situation, but at this point, it would be hard to keep a player suspended for so long without pay.

NFL fines handed out

Surprise, surprise -- Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh received his third fine of the season on Friday. Suh was penalized for a throat slash gesture during the team's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 12. Houston Texans defensive end Antonio Smith received a fine as well, for a late hit. Dolphins not likely to re-sign Incognito

Reports suggest the Dolphins are not interested in bringing Richie Incognito back for the 2014-15 season. Incognito is currently suspended, and though he’s been playing at a high level, the Dolphins would likely rather avoid the locker room issues and potential controversy that comes with Incognito.

Tomlin being investigated

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin is being investigated by the NFL for a play in which he found himself on the field and in the way of Baltimore Ravens kick returner Jacoby Jones on Thursday. Tomlin jumped back to get out of the way, but Jones slowed down due to Tomlin being there and it might have cost him a touchdown. Tomlin says it was an accident.

Revis getting closer to return

Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Darrelle Revis took part in a walkthrough with the team on Friday. His status for Sunday's game is unknown, but he's listed as day-to-day. Revis sustained a groin injury in the team's Week 12 game against the Detroit Lions. The Buccaneers find themselves on a three-game winning streak but if Revis is unable to go, they'll have a tougher outing than expected against the Carolina Panthers.
