Seahawks vs. Falcons 2013 odds and lines: Seattle heavily favored on the road

The Seattle Seahawks are heavily favored to best the Atlanta Falcons on the road in Week 10.

Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

The Atlanta Falcons will host the Seattle Seahawks in a Week 10 matchup that is a good deal less compelling than it was at the start of the season. Atlanta (2-6) has struggled mightily and is without some of its top players, while the Seahawks (8-1) are at the top of their game, with four consecutive wins since dropping a Week 5 matchup to the Indianapolis Colts.

Seattle is the road team here, but they’re favored to win this one. The Seahawks opened up as 4-point favorites, but the line has quickly moved further in their favor, as noted by OddsShark. At mid-week, they could be had favored as high as 7 points. Atlanta is likely getting some help from the fact that the game will be played in the Georgia Dome, but not much.

The Seahawks are not nearly as good on the road as they are at home, but given the struggles of the Falcons and lack of playmakers on offense, Seattle is easily favored in this one. The over/under for the matchup opened at 44.5 points. That total has gone over in five of Seattle’s last seven games, and five of Atlanta’s last seven games as well.
