Minnesota Vikings receiver Jerome Simpson has been been arrested on a misdemeanor DWI charge, according to Tom Pelissero of USA Today. Simpson reportedly refused a breathalyzer test and was then arrested on probable cause DWI, per the report, and he was still in the Hennepin County jail on Saturday morning.

Simpson is in his sixth season in the NFL and his second with the Vikings after spending four years with the Cincinnati Bengals. The veteran is enjoying the best season of his career, accumulating 491 yards on 33 catches in nine games played. His best season so far came in 2011 with the Bengals, catching 50 passes for 725 yards and four touchdowns.

The sixth-year player is currently on a 36-hour hold and could conceivably be held until noon on Tuesday, with the possibility that a judge could review his case before that time. Simpson is currently on probation after pleading guilty to a felony drug charge in 2012 and served a three-game suspension last season.

The Vikings, 2-7 on the season, face the Seattle Seahawks on the road on Sunday with kickoff set for 4:25 p.m. ET.
