San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree (Achilles) is active in Week 13 against the St. Louis Rams and will start. Crabtree has missed the first 11 games of the season while recovering from a torn achilles in May. The 49ers placed him on the physically-unable-to-perform list to start the year and he will now be able to make his season debut.
Michael Crabtree active, starting versus Rams in Week 13
The 49ers leading receiver from last season will make his season debut against St. Louis on Sunday.

They could use him.
San Francisco is 32nd in passing yards and quarterback Colin Kaepernick could clearly use a third option. Nearly two-thirds of his passing yards, and 100-percent of his touchdowns, have gone to Anquan Boldin and Vernon Davis. The Niners have not been able to find another option besides those two yet this year. Wide receiver Mario Manningham was activated three weeks ago but has just 83 yards since returning.
Crabtree had 85 catches for 1,105 yards and nine touchdowns a year ago. He has not played since San Francisco's Super Bowl loss to the Baltimore Ravens, when he had five catches for 109 yards and a touchdown.
