The Week 16 matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and Chicago Bears on Dec. 22 has been flexed to Sunday Night Football on NBC at 8:30 p.m. ET, the NFL announced on Tuesday. The league shifted the previous game that occupied that spot to 4:25 p.m. ET on CBS.

The Week 16 matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and Chicago Bears was flexed to prime time, the NFL announced Tuesday.

That game was between the New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens. While the Patriots are always exciting (read as: Tom Brady is Tom Brady), the Ravens have fallen hard this season and may not be fighting for any kind of playoff relevance at that point, at least in comparison to Philadelphia vs. Chicago.
The Eagles hold the top spot in the NFC East, while the Bears just dominated the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football to force a tie with the Detroit Lions atop the NFC North. There's plenty of playoff relevance in this one, hence moving it into prime time.
Philadelphia will take on the Cowboys in its season finale in Week 17, which is also a candidate for flexing into prime time if Dallas can rebound from its Monday loss. That game could decide the NFC East title.
