NFL picks and predictions, Bears vs. Browns 2013: Chicago favored by experts

The Chicago Bears are favored to best the Cleveland Browns by the experts.

Jonathan Daniel

The Chicago Bears will hit the road to take on the Cleveland Browns in a Week 15 matchup on Sunday. Chicago is 7-6 and coming off a Monday Night Football victory over the Dallas Cowboys. That win kept the Bears in the playoff race, and they can ill afford to lose at this point, especially to a team like the Browns.

What does "a team like the Browns" mean? It means they're 4-9 on the season and have lost their last four games since a Week 10 bye week. Cleveland is surprisingly dangerous though, at least when Jason Campbell is under center. Brandon Weeden has a legitimate claim to the the title of worst starting quarterback in the league. Fortunately for Cleveland, Campbell is the man right now.

Still the Bears have a lot more to fight for. SB Nation’s panel of six NFL experts weighed in on the matchup, and it’s pretty decisive: five of the six believe the Bears will win it on the road. Ryan Van Bibber, Joel Thorman, Jason Chilton, Stephen White and Matt Ufford all picked Chicago, with David Fucillo being the lone dissenter.

Over at CBS Sports, it’s a similar spread. Seven of the eight experts are going with the Bears, including Jason La Canfora and Will Brinson. Pete Prisco is the lone dissenter thinking the Browns will hold at home.
