NFL picks and predictions, Patriots vs. Dolphins 2013: Experts divided over Week 15 matchup
Experts are divided on the Week 15 matchup between the New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins.
The New England Patriots are set to take on the Miami Dolphins in a Week 15 matchup on Sunday. New England (10-3) hasn't actually sealed a playoff spot yet, but it's essentially a foregone conclusion at this point. The question is whether or not they can manage it against the Dolphins this week.
Miami is 7-6 on the season, and it’s tough to imagine the Dolphins finishing with enough wins to make the playoffs, but they are not mathematically eliminated. After all, the Dolphins could easily finish 10-6 and make it as a wild card team. The Patriots aren’t going to give up the division at this point.
At least, that’s what some experts seem to believe. Of SB Nation’s panel of six experts, four of them believe the Patriots will win. Ryan Van Bibber, Joel Thorman, Jason Chilton and David Fucillo are all going with the Patriots, with Stephen White and Matt Ufford being the dissenters.
The experts over at CBS Sports are a fair bit more divided, however. Of the eight experts picking, five are picking the Dolphins to hold at home, including Pete Prisco and Will Brinson. Jason La Canfora was among the three picking the Patriots to win it on the road.
