Seahawks vs. Giants 2013 odds: Seattle favored on the road

The Seattle Seahawks are favored to best the New York Giants in Week 15.

Cary Edmondson-USA TODAY Sports

The Seattle Seahawks are set to take on the New York Giants in a Week 15 matchup on Sunday. Seattle is 11-2, coming off its second loss of the season on Sunday. The Seahawks fell to the NFC West rival San Francisco 49ers, 19-17, but already hold a spot in the playoffs and can still clinch the division with a win.

New York has been ... less than successful this season. The Giants hit a wall in the shape of multiple Eli Manning interceptions this year, and sit at 5-8 on the season. New York did bounce back after losing its first six games this season by winning four consecutive outings between Weeks 7 and 11. The Giants' last game was a 37-14 loss in Week 14, and they're well out of the playoff race.

As expected, the Seahawks opened as 4.5-point favorites over the Giants. The line has only widened in their favor throughout the week, with Seattle being favored by as much as 7.5 points on some sites mid-week, according to OddsShark. If it were in Seattle, the odds would be much wider, too.

The over/under opened at 41 points and is hovering around that amount. That total has gone under in four of Seattle’s last six games, and over in six of New York’s last eight games at home. It’s also gone over in four of the last five games these two teams have played against each other.
