Seahawks vs. Giants 2013 final score: Seattle’s defense dominant in 23-0 romp

The Seahawks picked off Eli Manning five times and cruised to an easy shutout win on the road.

The Seattle Seahawks destroyed the New York Giants on their home turf. The Seahawks won, 23-0, to get their first shutout of the season. They move to 12-2 and remain in control of the No. 1 seed in the NFC. The Giants dropped to 5-9.

Neither team was able to do much on offense, combining for eight punts in the first half alone. Eli Manning continued his struggles, throwing a total of five interceptions on the game. Despite the strong defensive effort, the Seahawks could only manage a field goal in the first quarter. Seattle took advantage of Manning's second interception with a powerful two-yard touchdown by Marshawn Lynch. It took a 13-0 lead into the locker room at halftime, holding the Giants to just 54 total yards in the first half. Manning's third pick came on a Hail Mary, with Richard Sherman grabbing his second interception of the day.

The Giants continued to sputter in the second half, with Manning throwing a fourth interception and failing to do anything against Seattle's defense. The Seahawks weren't firing on all cylinders on offense, but it was just efficient enough to keep New York at bay. Russell Wilson hooked up with Doug Baldwin in the fourth quarter to extend Seattle's lead to 23-0 and seal the easy victory. Tarvaris Jackson replaced Wilson shortly afterwards and the rest of the game was a mere formality.
