Matt Cassel will remain the Minnesota Vikings starting quarterback, at least for another week according to head coach Leslie Frazier, per the Pioneer Press.
Matt Cassel will start for Vikings in Week 16
After playing lights out against Philadelphia, the Vikings are rewarding Cassel.

Cassel enjoyed one of his finest days as a pro, completing 26 of 35 passes for 382 yards and a pair of touchdowns against only one interception. Cassel also ran for 19 yards and a touchdown, helping to engineer the 48-30 upset of the Philadelphia Eagles.
The quarterback situation has been a mess all year long in Minnesota, with Cassel, Christian Ponder and Josh Freeman all getting cracks at the starting job.
Ponder, who many believe was in a make-or-break season for the Vikings, proved to be very underwhelming. The former first round pick only threw for 1,648 yards with seven touchdowns and nine interceptions. On the other hand, Cassel has 1,504 yards to his credit with nine scores and only five picks.
