Colts vs. Chiefs 2013, Week 16: Indianapolis beats up Kansas City for road win

Indianapolis held the ball for 38 minutes and 20 seconds, dominating the contest by converting seven of 18 third-down attempts. The Chiefs helped out by missing a bevy of tackles, taking seven critical penalties and turning the ball over four times.

Over at Stampede Blue, Brad Wells talked about how to the Colts showed they have bounced back to become a real contender in the postseason:

Indianapolis and Kansas City are both destined for the playoffs, but the mood in each city flipped following a dominant 23-7 win by the Colts on Sunday.

The Colts have struggled in recent weeks, barely looking like a playoff contender -- let alone the AFC South winner. A series of embarrassing losses were erased with a signature win against one of the toughest opponents they’ve faced in 2013.

It’s become a bit of a trope for Cleveland Browns fans to repurpose the jerseys they bought for awful, awful players:

Hilton injured his shoulder against Arizona in late November, and missed practice this week as he continues to recover from the injury. He has not missed a game this season.

Hilton has four 100-yard receiving games this season, and has caught 66 passes for 876 yards and five touchdowns. He has also served the team as a punt returner, taking 17 kicks for 159 yards. Although he has played in all 14 games this season, he has only started in four.

The Chiefs have won two straight games without Houston and Albert, but are hoping to get both players back before the postseason.

When it comes to this game, the experts aren’t exactly divided, however. SB Nation’s panel of six experts -- Ryan Van Bibber, Joel Thorman, Jason Chilton, Stephen White, David Fucillo and Matt Ufford was unanimous in picking the Chiefs to hold at home.

Over at CBS Sports, the results are similar, though there is one holdout. Seven of the eight experts picked the Chiefs to win, including Pete Prisco and Jason La Canfora, and Will Brinson was the lone dissenter picking the Colts to score the upset.
