Giants place Corey Webster on injured reserve
The Giants cornerback unit suffers another loss.

The cornerback has been with the Giants for nine years and on their two Super Bowl-winning teams. He only played in four games this season due to lingering injuries and was replaced in the lineup by Trumaine McBride and Jayron Hosley. Webster registered 13 tackles this season.
The veteran has amassed 330 tackles, 2.0 sacks and 20 interceptions in nine seasons. He was a second-round pick in the 2005 NFL Draft. He is likely to test the free agent market in the offseason, but will probably have to settle for a backup spot on a roster.
The Giants signed wide receiver Julian Talley off of the practice squad in a corresponding move.
