Larry Fitzgerald injury: Cardinals WR practices following concussion

Fitzgerald was limited in practice Thursday but is expected to play against the Seahawks.

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald returned to practice Thursday for the first time since suffering a concussion against the Tennessee Titans last Sunday, according to Mike Jurecki of FOX Sports.

Coach Bruce Arians said earlier this week he expects Fitzgerald to be available this weekend against the Seattle Seahawks.

Though limited, Fitzgerald worked out with his teammates during the open portion of practice on Thursday, spending time with the hands team.

Ironically, it was his role on the hands team that led to his concussion. Fitzgerald was hit high while attempting to corral an onside kick late in Arizona's 37-34 overtime win over Tennessee. Titans special teamer Jackie Battle was able to jar the ball loose on the play, concussing Fitzgerald in the process.

Earlier in the season, the 30-year-old Fitzgerald became the youngest player in NFL history to top 11,000 career receiving yards. He now ranks 28th on the all-time receiving list and fifth among active players.

Quarterback Carson Palmer, who has been nursing an ankle injury for several weeks, also returned to practice on Thursday.
