During the national anthem of the Broncos-Chiefs game on Sunday, CBS cameras captured footage of massive tears streaming down the face of Denver running back Knowshon Moreno, and instantly a massive social media investigation was launched. Does Moreno just love America that much? Was it eyedrops? Is he the mutant result of a government testing project designed to douse forest fires in the Midwest?

He’s just an emotional guy, is all.
As it turns out, Moreno’s just an emotional guy.
“The emotion always gets to me,” He told Yahoo Sports after the Broncos took firm command of the AFC West with a 35-28 win over Kansas City. “I am just thinking about everything in general through your whole life, just balled up into one. Yeah, it helps me. Sometimes I don’t even notice it, it just comes.”
Apparently, Moreno’s tears are a common sight to his teammates.
"I see it all the time," said fellow Broncos running back Montee Ball, who rushed for 117 yards against the Chiefs. "He does it in practice and he does it in games. It is all heart, it is his passion for the game. It is massive. We all feed off that energy. A lot of stuff sets him off. He just brings that energy when we need it."
“The [tears] are actually of toughness,” Ball added.
Moreno had just 18 yards and a per carry average of 1.2 on the ground Sunday, but caught four passes for 72 yards and a touchdown. His 34-yard reception late in the fourth quarter -- in which he dragged a pack of defenders for several yards -- helped sealed the pivotal win.
After that kind of gritty performance, I suppose you can cry whenever you damn well please.
