Falcons vs. 49ers 2013 picks and predictions: Experts agree, Atlanta is in trouble this week
An improved Colin Kaepernick and a strong rushing attack have the 49ers favored over the Falcons.
San Francisco will be playing their final regular season home game at Candlestick Park on Monday night against the Atlanta Falcons. Depending on the result between Arizona and Seattle on Sunday, the 49ers and their fans will either be celebrating a playoff birth or hoping their team can clinch by beating the Falcons.
Thanks in large part to the steadily improving play from quarterback Colin Kaepernick, the 49ers have won four straight games. Frank Gore's nearly 200-yards of rushing in the past two games hasn't hurt either. The running game could prove the difference as well on Monday as the 49ers are very good at running the ball and the Falcons struggle to stop it.
Nothing has gone right for the Falcons since losing last season's NFC Championship to the 49ers and the experts don't appear to think Atlanta's fortunes will be improving this week either. All six SB Nation experts are picking San Francisco to win and ESPN's expert are singing the same tune.
