The Cleveland Browns will be without their starting slot receiver for the last two games of the season. The Browns have placed Davone Bess on the non-football injury list and he will be out for the remainder of the year. Bess has been dealing with a "serious" personal matter throughout the year.
Browns WR Davone Bess placed on NFI list due to ‘serious family issue’
Cleveland has ended the veteran’s up-and-down season due to a personal matter.

Bess has been distracted by an off-the-field issue related to a family member all season, according to Mary Kay Cabot of the Northeast Ohio Media Group. On Friday, Bess posted a photo of him lighting something on his porch with a Bob Marley poster and Rastafarian flags surrounding him on Instagram. This caused some controversy on various local message boards.
To add to the controversy, Bess has led the league with 14 dropped passes. He ends his first season with the Browns with 42 receptions for 362 yards and two touchdowns. The Browns traded for Bess in April and immediately signed him to a four-year extension.
