Matt Ryan threw the ball to Harry Douglas, who had been struggling with injury earlier in the game, and Douglas’ attempts to catch a slightly errant catch led the ball to fall directly into Navarro Bowman’s hands. He ran it back for 89 yards with a fancy dive into the end zone, and that was pretty much the ball game.
And hey, now the Niners are going to the playoffs!
We don’t feel bad for the Falcons or their fans, since this was a lost season. We feel bad for the people who lost their fantasy championships on this play, because you know there were thousands.
