Redskins vs. Giants 2013 picks and predictions: Experts favor New York against Washington

NFL writers are making their predictions for Week 17’s matchup between the Giants and Redskins.

The Redskins are set to travel to the Meadowlands to face the Giants. The Giants and Redskins have no shot at the playoff but have a very long-standing NFC East feud. The Giants are coming off a win against the Lions and the Redskins have lost seven straight games. Washington plans on starting quarterback Kirk Cousins for a third straight time on Sunday.

The Giants are considered 3.5-point home favorites against the Redskins by CBS Sports. When considering the spread, the eight-man CBS Sports panel picked in favor of the Giants with a 6-2 vote. The vote remains unchanged when the panel picked straight up.

Showtime’s “Inside the NFL” crew gave the Giants a clean sweep vote against the Redskins. Cris Collinsworth, Phil Simms and guest analyst Franco Harris all sided with New York in the NFC East rivalry game.

The five-man SB Nation panel voted unanimously in favor of the Giants.
