Dwayne Bowe cleared to practice for Chiefs after concussion
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe has been cleared to participate in team practice.

Bowe was held out of the team's Week 17 matchup against the San Diego Chargers. It's unclear if Bowe attempted the tests to practice and play as per the NFL's concussion protocol and simply failed them, or if the Chiefs planned on taking it slow with him regardless, given that the Week 17 game had no bearing on Kansas City's playoff run.
In the end, the Chiefs ended up losing the game, but that was due to the fact that most of the starters sat out a large portion of the game. The backups still took the Chargers to overtime.
Bowe has had a solid season to this point, though definitely a down year by his standards. He has 57 receptions for 673 yards and five touchdowns on the season. Unfortunately, he’s been very inconsistent, and hasn’t had a game with more than 70 receiving yards all season. Still, the Chiefs would agree they’re better off with Bowe in the lineup.
Bowe has not yet been cleared for playing, only for practice. The Chiefs take on the Colts in the first round of the playoffs.
