Baltimore Ravens cornerback Lardarius Webb will have a sports hernia surgery, according to Aaron Wilson of The Baltimore Sun. Webb has been dealing with the issue for much of the season, appearing on the injury report multiple times with what was described as an abdomen injury.

Baltimore Ravens cornerback Lardarius Webb will have sports hernia surgery in the offseason.

The surgery is considered minor, so there is no timetable for recovery, as Webb will be expected at 100 percent for any offseason deadline such as OTAs or training camp. The Ravens did not make the postseason, failing to beat the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 17.

Fellow cornerback Jimmy Smith had the same surgery last year during the season. He returned successfully and made an impact in the playoffs.
