The Buffalo Bills have signed veteran tight end Tony Moeaki to a two-year contract. Moeaki was placed on injured reserve by the Kansas City Chiefs to start the season, but reached an injury settlement with the team in Week 8 after recovering from a shoulder fracture. It's unclear if the Bills' intent to use Moeaki this season of if they were signing him to have him place for next season.
NFL roundup: Bills sign Tony Moeaki, Peyton Manning leads Pro Bowl votes and more
The Buffalo Bills signed Tony Moeaki, Peyton Manning leads the Pro Bowl voting and more you might have missed from Wednesday in the NFL.

Here’s what else you might have missed from Wednesday:
Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning leads all players in vote totals for the 2014 NFL Pro Bowl. Manning has received 926,432 votes as of the last full count, which is far ahead of Drew Brees (793,685), Marshawn Lynch (643,363) and Jamaal Charles (636,575). The voting will wrap up on Dec. 26, at which point Manning will surely have broken a million votes.
The Minnesota Vikings named Matt Cassel the starting quarterback for the team's Week 14 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. Rather, one report suggested that was the case, given that Christian Ponder has not been cleared to play as per the league's concussion protocol, and starting Cassel is the smart option at this point. Cassel has out-played Ponder, though he's only getting this opportunity due to the aforementioned concussion.
The Buffalo Bills released running back Tashard Choice on Wednesday. Choice served as the third-string back behind C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson off and on for three seasons. Choice did receive some playing time due to injury this year, but still had just 35 carries for 126 yards in 12 games on the season.
Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Jeremy Mincey will be active on Thursday against the Houston Texans. Mincey was inactive the past two games due to a violation of team rules. It's still unclear what rules were broken, but the two-game suspension from the team was apparently adequate punishment to get him back on the team's good side. Mincey has two sacks and 14 tackles on the season, appearing in seven games.
