The Chargers are expected bring linebacker Melvin Ingram back into the fold in Week 14 against the Giants. The former first-round pick will likely play on Sunday, according to Michael Gelhken of the San Diego Union-Tribune. Ingram has looked like a "freak" in practice, per Gelhken.

Ingram was activated from the physically unable to perform list on Dec. 7. The pass rusher tore his ACL in May and has completed a very quick recovery. The Chagers top pick in the 2012 NFL Draft is a welcomed return, especially after losing Dwight Freeney and Larry English for the season due to injuries. Ingram had 41 tackles, a sack and a forced fumble in his rookie season. He played in 16 games, starting just two contests.
The Chargers are still in the hunt for the final AFC wild card spot, but need to win their remaining games in order to have a reasonable shot at a playoff berth.
