NFL Combine 2013: Zac Dysert withdraws after injury
After suffering a slight tear in his right hamstring, Miami Redhawks quarterback Zac Dysert is withdrawing from the 2013 NFL Combine.

Dysert was working out at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., with former NFL quarterback Chris Weinke and alongside West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith and Arkansas quarterback Tyler Wilson when the injury occurred. Heading into draft season, Dysert has been projected as a mid-round pick by analysts. His hamstring injury will keep him out of showing his worth in the Combine, but he should be available to workout on Miami's March 21 pro day in Oxford, Ohio.
Dysert finished the 2012 season with 3,483 yards, which led all Mid-American Conference quarterbacks, 25 touchdowns and 12 interceptions for a quarterback rating of 136.1. Through his four seasons with Miami, he threw for 12,017 yards and 73 touchdowns. He also rushed for 12 touchdowns over his four seasons with the Redhawks.
The NFL Combine begins on Wednesday, Feb. 20 and quarterbacks, along with wide receivers, are Day Two arrivals, checking in on Thursday. Missing the combine could hurt Dysert’s draft stock, but if he’s healthy and impresses during his pro day, he could make up for it.
