With the Pittsburgh Steelers about $12.5 million over the salary cap for next season, they have not yet asked one of their highest paid players to restructure his contract, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

The Steelers owe linebacker James Harrison $10 million next season, which is the fifth-highest salary on the team for 2013. But the team hasn't talked to his agent, Bill Parise, about restructuring yet, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune:
But Parise said Thursday that while Harrison “would (be willing) to help with that,” he and the Steelers have held no such talks.
Until the Steelers begin sorting out their various offseason issues, Parise said he doesn’t expect to hear from general manager Kevin Colbert or director of football and business administration Omar Khan. Parise called his relationship with the two “wonderful” and “great.”
“There is nothing going on,” Parise said. “(If there’s anything) it will be down the road.”
Harrison said earlier this week he’s willing to restructure his deal, but he won’t take a pay cut.
The Steelers have a lot of work to do this off-season to be under next season's salary cap. The biggest hit is from quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who is owed $19.59 million next season. The Steelers won't cut Big Ben, but they might be interested in restructuring his deal to make salary cap room in 2013.
LaMarr Woodley ($13.24 million), Lawrence Timmons ($11.6) and Troy Polamalu ($10.13) round out the top four, with Harrison at No. 5 in terms of biggest cap hits for next season.
