Purdue Boilermakers defensive tackle Kawann Short could see his draft stock fall in the coming weeks. According to NFL.com's Gil Brandt, Short will not participate in the NFL Scouting Combine, and he will also miss Purdue's Pro Day on Mar. 1 because of an injury. Instead, Short will have his own Pro Day on Mar. 26.
NFL Combine 2013: Kawann Short will miss NFL Combine, Purdue Pro Day
Purdue Boilermakers defensive tackle Kawann Short will not participate in the NFL Scouting Combine because of an injury.

Brandt said in his tweet that Short is likely a first- or second-round draft pick. Missing the NFL Combine and Purdue’s Pro Day will not enhance Short’s stock, and could drop him to the second-round.
More: Mocking the Draft
In SB Nation's latest mock draft, Short was not selected in the first round. Still, a strong showing at Short's own personal Pro Day could thrust him back to this vaunted status.
In 13 games in 2012, Short recorded 43 tackles -- 15.5 of which were for a loss. Short was disruptive, registering seven sacks, forcing a fumble, breaking up four passes and blocking a combined four punts and kicks.
At 6’3, 315 pounds, Short certainly has the size to play in the NFL -- and his collegiate numbers in 2012 certainly speak for themselves.
With a strong personal Pro Day, Short could be able to turn himself into a late first-round pick -- but there’s a long way to go between then and now.
