Terrell Suggs ‘guarantees’ NFL-wide hatred of Patriots

Terrell Suggs really doesn’t like the Patriots, and apparently he isn’t alone.

USA TODAY Sports

There are plenty of fans that have some sort of "hate" for the Patriots, but Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs says players aren't fond of New England, either, according to ESPN. Suggs expressed his belief on WEEI in Boston, commenting that both players who have played for and against the organization hold hard feelings against the Patriots. Suggs didn't seem to lack much confidence in his opinion:

Joining "The Big Show" on WEEI, Suggs said he "guarantees the other 31 [NFL] teams hate the New England Patriots." The Baltimore Ravens star also said he doesn't feel the Patriots "respect anybody."

Suggs added that he feels that players who have played for the Patriots divulge stories of what's wrong with the organization, though he wouldn't offer details.

The Ravens have met the Patriots in the last two AFC Championship Games, so it’s no surprise that there is a rivalry brewing between the two clubs. It was Suggs and his teammates that got revenge in 2013 by taking down New England in Foxboro.

Suggs had harsh words for the Patriots after that game, as well. He was heard after the game telling the players to “have fun in the Pro Bowl” and called the team “the most arrogant pricks in the world, starting with (Bill) Belichick on down.” The veteran linebacker stood by those comments on WEEI:

Do I apologize for what I said? No. Do I mean what I said? Yeah,” Suggs said. “Could I have worded it a little better? Probably. But the fact of the matter is you can’t really consider it a rivalry because you have a few more championships than we do, but this has been steaming for a while.”

With the success the Patriots have had under Belichick, some arrogance would be expected, but apparently it has gone far enough that the opposition is offended.
