It seems as though Rams wide receiver Danny Amendola is set to become a free agent once the new league year begins. The slot receiver has been banged up over the last two seasons, only able to play in 12 games, but he has racked up over 1,700 yards and seven touchdowns for St. Louis in the last four years.
Danny Amendola rumors: Possible landing spots for wide receiver
It seems as though Danny Amendola is heading to free agency. If that’s the case, here’s a few places he could end up for the 2013 season.

There are several teams that could use the help of a shifty slot receiver to get the offense back on track and Amendola likely won’t be a free agent for too terribly long. Here’s a few potential landing spots.
Despite the fact that the Patriots barely have any serviceable wide receivers outside of Wes Welker, they somehow manage to have one of the league's best offenses year in and year out. However, the addition of a wide receiver like Amendola could make the team's offense even better, especially if the Patriots lose Welker to free agency.
Whether the Jets make a commitment to Mark Sanchez or bring in a new quarterback, they have to surround their signal caller with some more weapons. Amendola could prove to be a huge weapon for the Jets as a slot receiver as he could help open up the offense. The Jets aren't in great shape when it comes to cap space, though.
Colin Kaepernick has come on strong and given the 49ers the potential to have one of the best offenses in the league. However, the team is still lacking somewhat when it comes to offensive weapons. Michael Crabtree came on strong in 2012, but the team needs another talented receiver to help open things up. Amendola could possibly take some pressure off of Crabtree as well.
The Dolphins don't seem to quite have their quarterback situation figured out yet, but the team definitely needs some help at the receiver position. While they're more in need of a big-bodied No. 1 receiver, Amendola could add experience to the depth chart and help open things up for Ryan Tannehill, or whoever is taking snaps in 2013.
The Bears on the verge of exploding offensively, but Jay Cutler's one and only receiver that poses a threat seems to be Brandon Marshall. The two connected over 100 times and for 18 touchdowns in 2012, which is great, but the offense could use somebody to take some attention away from Marshall and give Cutler another target. Amendola could potentially push the Bears over the edge.
Andrew Luck had a great season throwing to Reggie Wayne and company. Just imagine what he could do if he had another talented target in the middle of the field that knew how to get open in space. The Colts have the potential to steal the AFC South title back from the Texans and a new offensive weapon could really help make it happen.
Andre Johnson showed he still has what it takes in 2012, but he's not getting any younger. Matt Schaub could use another target when throwing the ball down field and Johnson could use someone other than Owen Daniels to take some pressure off of him. The Texans are just an added player or two from being Super Bowl contenders and a new and talented wide receiver could help turn this offense into one of the best in the league.
