Despite cutting cornerback Dunta Robinson last week, a source close to the Atlanta Falcons is adamant -- Atlanta is not interested in trading for New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis. A source "familiar" with Atlanta regarding Revis told New York Newsday's Bob Glauber "absolutely not" on a possible Revis trade to Atlanta.

A source close to the Falcons believes that Atlanta is not interested in acquiring Darrelle Revis from the New York Jets.

The Jets are rumored to be shopping Revis, who is entering the final year of his contract with Gang Green. Revis’ recovery from an ACL injury complicates his trade value, however, as the star cornerback is still recovering from his torn ACL he suffered last September.
The source's denial of Atlanta as a potential landing spot for Revis should be taken with a grain of salt. Vikings general manager Rick Spielman denied truth to any Percy Harvin trade rumors, but the former Florida Gator was traded to the Seahawks earlier Monday -- contingent on Harvin passing a physical.
With New York’s asking price likely high, teams around the league will likely want to see Revis progress throughout his rehabilitation before deciding to acquire him.
If the Falcons end up with cap space and a need in the secondary after the dust settles in free agency, it’s quite possible they’ll revisit a possible Revis trade later in the summer, but for now, it appears Atlanta will look to bolster its secondary through free agency and the draft.
