UPDATE: So after seeing Ledbetter’s report of Grimes and the Falcons agreeing to a one-year deal, this happened:
Update: Brent Grimes apparently not re-signed by Falcons after all
Contrary to prior reports, Grimes and the Falcons have not agreed to a one-year deal at this point.

Anyway, no deal between Atlanta and Grimes at the moment, as far as we know. Watch your autocorrects.
After missing all but one game of the 2012 NFL season, suffering a torn Achilles Tendon early on, cornerback Brent Grimes was said to be re-signing with the Atlanta Falcons according to a tweet from D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal Constitution on Tuesday. This now isn't exactly accurate, according to the update above.
Grimes, the four-year veteran out of Shippensburg, established himself in Atlanta prior to having his season cut short last year in Week 1 against the Kansas City Chiefs. In 2010, Grimes got a Pro Bowl nod after snagging five interceptions and recording 23 passes defensed as one of the Falcon's best defenders.
After going undrafted in 2006 and spending a season in NFL Europe with the Hamburg Sea Devils, Grimes has been with the Falcons ever since, playing mainly special teams to start before rising through the team’s secondary ranks.
