Ed Reed to visit with Texans Thursday
Future Hall of Fame safety Ed Reed is set to visit the Houston Texans on Thursday fresh off a Super Bowl win.

Reed was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the first round of the 2002 NFL draft out of the University of Miami and quickly made a name for himself throughout the league as one of the best ball-hawking safeties in NFL history. In his 11 years with the Ravens, Reed has made 605 tackles and picked off 61 passes, breaking up another 109. Of those 61 interceptions, Reed has returned seven for touchdowns. He has also forced 11 fumbles in his career and recovered two for touchdowns.
Heading into the 2013 season, safety is a position of need as the team's free safety Glover Quin has been signed by the Detroit Lions. It's no surprise then that the first player they're bringing in for a visit is Reed, who would be able to step in and play at a high level for the Texans right away.
