There is a lot to like about this Justin Blackmon 81-yard touchdown. It's important to note that it came on a 3rd-and-21, meaning the Texans were expecting pass and Blackmon still burned them. The catch was impressive as Blackmon went up in triple coverage to haul in the pass from Chad Henne.
He not only hung onto the ball despite a big hit from Stanford Routt, but bounced off and kept running. Blackmon caught the ball at the 50-yardline then outran three Texan defenders to the endzone. Power, speed and hands, this touchdown has it all.
(8) Cam Newton Goes Superman
While Cam Newton did the heavy lifting on this 72-yard touchdown run, he wasn’t the only Panther to show off some impressive moves.
The read-option play worked perfectly, opening up a huge hole for Newton on the left side. He took advantage and was into the open. Wide receiver Steve Smith did an excellent job of blocking, freeing Newton up at the 30-yard line and eventually taking out two defenders with his block near the endzone. Newton used the block perfectly and then executed a head first dive into the endzone for additional style points.
