Redskins’ DeAngelo Hall a candidate to be released, according to report
Washington may part ways with cornerback DeAngelo Hall.

Hall signed a six-year, $55 million deal with the Redskins in 2009. He is scheduled to remain under contract through 2014, but Washington may be looking to save some money on the aging veteran.
Through 133 career games, Hall has recorded 639 tackles and 39 interceptions. He set a career-high with 95 total tackles in 2012, and played all 16 games for the third-straight season.
Washington is walking a fine line with the salary cap, as they are just at the limit for 2013. It’s likely that some veterans will become cap casualties, and Hall’s hefty base pay may be among the first in line.
