Louis Vasquez has been a starter in the NFL from the moment he entered the league, and this past season may have been his best performance. He is now ready to cash in on that performance as one of the best guards available in the 2013 free-agent market.
2013 NFL free agents: Louis Vasquez expected to draw many suitors
With a combination of youth and experience, many teams will be pining for Louis Vasquez’s services.

Vasquez has spent the first four years of his career with the Chargers after the franchise drafted him out of Texas Tech in 2009. He made an immediate impact, starting 14 games his rookie season. Unfortunately for Vasquez, he struggled with injury in 2010 and 2011. He played just 10 games in his second season and missed two in his third.
Things turned around in 2012, as Vasquez appeared in all 16 games for the first time in his career. The 25 year old already has 54 starts under his belt.
The Chargers have not made an offer to the stud offensive lineman, according to Kevin Acee of the U-T San Diego. That doesn’t necessarily mean they won’t re-sign him. However, the Chargers will likely pay a higher price as he is sought-after on the open market.
Acee also reports that the Colts are expected to make a big play for Vasquez. Indianapolis is among the teams with the most money to spend in the offseason, and the chance to go to a team that is already a contender will certainly be enticing.
SB Nation’s Steve Muma pegs Vasquez as one of the top free-agent guards available, so Indianapolis won’t be the only team competing with San Diego for the guard’s services. Expect there to be a bidding war for Vasquez, as his combination of youth and experience are desirable attributes.
