The Kansas City Chiefs are now expected to use their No. 1 overall selection on Central Michigan left tackle Eric Fisher instead of Texas A&M left tackle Luke Joeckel, according to several draft analysts, including Jay Glazer, Mike Mayock, Ian Rapoport, Albert Breer and Dan Brugler.
2013 NFL Draft rumors: Chiefs leaning toward Eric Fisher at No. 1
On the night before the 2013 NFL Draft, the No. 1 overall pick in the draft is still up in the air — and the Chiefs may be leaning towards a different offensive tackle than many thought they would.

The Chiefs are still taking calls from teams around the league that may be interested in trading for the No. 1 pick, according to USA Today's Lindsay Jones. The option to trade down is reportedly a fallback option in case general manager John Dorsey is unable to trade Branden Albert. If Dorsey is able to deal Albert to the Dolphins, they'll likely use the top pick on Fisher.
That the No. 1 overall pick isn’t quite set when the draft is just one day away is a testament to the lack of star power in this year’s class. However, for a team in need of help at offensive tackle, such as the Chiefs, 2013 is a good year to select first.
