2013 NFL Draft results: Ravens snag Wisconsin OT Ricky Wagner

As we enter Round 6 of the 2013 NFL Draft, the names are starting to become more obscure and the athletes more raw. The Ravens selected Wisconsin OT Ricky Wagner to close out Round 5.

We're starting to scrape the bottom of the barrel as the 2013 NFL Draft changes over from Round 5 to Round 6. The Baltimore Ravens drafted Wisconsin's Ricky Wagner at No. 168 overall on the strength of his Wisconsin pedigree. Three picks later, the Detroit Lions got an incredible athlete, a raw wide receiver in Corey Fuller out of Virginia Tech.

Here’s a look at pick 168 through 172:

168. Baltimore Ravens: Ricky Wagner OT Wisconsin, 6’6, 308 pounds

Wagner comes to the NFL with an impressive resume. Wisconsin has a strong tradition of churning out offensive linemen, and Wagner was a two-year starter at left tackle. He doesn’t have ideal athleticism, but he has the right frame. The Ravens need help at offensive tackle, and the fact they waited this long could mean that they think they picked up a steal.

169. Jacksonville Jaguars: Joshua Evans S Florida, 5'10, 211 pounds

Evans was overshadowed in the defensive backfield by Matt Elam, but he possesses many of the same traits of his fellow safety. He is very aggressive, and has an even better frame. Evans doesn't have the same natural instincts as Elam, however, but he has the physical tools to contribute as a special teams player as a rookie.

170. Kansas City Chiefs: Eric Kush C California-Pennsylvania, 6'4, 304 pounds

After drafting Eric Fisher No. 1 overall, the Chiefs addressed the offensive line for the second time in this year's draft. Kush doesn't have the same pedigree as Fisher, obviously, but he has a chance to be a productive player. At least, the Chiefs must have seen something in the small-school center when he participated at the East-West Shrine Game.

171. Detroit Lions: Corey Fuller WR Virginia Tech, 6’2, 204 pounds

Surprisingly, it took this long for the Lions to finally draft a wideout. They got a project in Fuller. He is a track star-turned-football player who may need to develop on special teams early in his career. He has a nice frame and tremendous speed, however. He ran a 4.32 at the NFL Combine. Give him a chance to learn under Calvin Johnson, and Fuller could be a contributor on offense down the line.

172. Oakland Raiders: Nick Kasa TE Colorado, 6'6, 269 pounds

Kasa fills a major need for the Raiders, and as with Wagner, the fact that the Raiders waited this long to get a tight end could suggest that they were higher on the Colorado product than most. His senior year was his first as a full-time tight end, but he still managed to catch 25 passes for 391 yards and shine as a blocker.
