Da’Rick Rogers to sign as undrafted free agent with Bills

The Bills have reportedly landed former Tennessee Tech wide receiver Da’Rick Rogers as an undrafted free agent, according to reports.

The Buffalo Bills have signed former Tennessee Tech wide receiver Da'Rick Rogers as an undrafted free agent, according to The USA Today's Mike Garafolo.

Rogers is a big target, standing at 6’2 and weighing in at 217 pounds. He has good speed, the ability to separate himself from the defender, and he’s good at getting off the line as well. He has been knocked for his effort at times, and he was accused of cutting his routes short when he wasn’t the quarterback’s primary target. His effort and maturity are likely the reasons he fell out of the draft.

The Bills have Stevie Johnson at wide receiver and selected Robert Woods out of USC in the second round. They also selected Texas wide receiver Marquise Goodwin on Saturday. The addition of Rogers could potentially give the team's quarterback, whether it's Kevin Kolb or rookie E.J. Manuel, a fairly solid group of wide receivers to help move the ball down the field through the air.

Rogers originally transferred from the University of Tennessee after spending his 2010 and 2011 seasons there. In his last year with the Volunteers, Rogers had 1,040 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. In his first year with Tennessee Tech, he added another 893 yards and 10 touchdowns.
