Bryant McKinnie agrees to 2-year deal with Ravens

The Ravens re-signed last year’s starting left tackle in the days following the draft to improve the state of their offensive line.

The Baltimore Ravens have reached a two-year agreement with free agent offensive tackle Bryant McKinnie, according to the team's official Twitter account.

McKinnie signed the deal with the Ravens after he reportedly received interest from the Dallas Cowboys, as well as the Chargers and Dolphins. Offensive tackles were being taken off the board right and left early in the 2013 NFL Draft, but for the teams that were left needing help at the tackle position, the free agency market is slim pickings.

McKinnie signed with the Ravens in 2011 and has had his share of difficulties on and off the field, but he really hit stride during the playoffs last season, in which he started every game in the postseason on the way to the Ravens winning their second Lombardi Trophy.

McKinnie will likely look to permanently reclaim his starting job at left tackle, protecting Joe Flacco's blind side and opening holes for Ray Rice. Now that he's officially off the market, the Cowboys, and other offensive tackle-needy teams, are likely going to turn to Eric Winston, Jammal Brown and Jared Gaither.
