Cliff Harris, Claude Davis cut by Jets after marijuana arrest
The Jets cut Cliff Harris and Claude Davis after they were arrested and charged with marijuana possession, according to reports.

The duo was cut on Tuesday, but the news of their arrest on Monday wasn’t reported until Thursday. Until now, the release of Harris and Davis seemed a normal occurrence. However, that’s obviously not the case.
According to a release from the Morristown Police Department, an officer observed that a parked 2013 Chevy Tahoe SUV appeared to be filled with smoke. The officer approached, the driver rolled down his window, and the officer smelled marijuana. Two of the three occupants were Davis and Harris, and they were both arrested and charged with marijuana possession.
A third occupant, Daniel Godfrey, was also arrested and was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and unlawful possession of a weapon. Both Davis and Harris were signed this offseason by the Jets, and neither of them have ever actually played in a regular-season game. It’s likely that they may struggle even more to break into the NFL now.
