The New York Giants signed outside linebacker Kyle Bosworth, nephew of Oklahoma Sooners great and former Seattle Seahawks linebacker Brian Bosworth, according to a report from Paul Schwartz of the New York Post on Thursday.
Giants sign Brian Bosworth’s nephew
The Boz’s nephew, Kyle Bosworth, is heading to New York.

Out of UCLA, Bosworth went undrafted in 2010 but signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars. After missing his rookie season due to injury, he played in nine games for the Jaguars in 2011, registering five combined tackles. In 2012, Bosworth appeared in all 16 games for Jacksonville, compiling 37 combined tackles and an interception.
His uncle, Brian, was a highly touted two-time All-American from Oklahoma who was famous for sporting a crewcut-mohawk-mullet combo platter of a haircut, along with other very loud public displays of attention-demanding. Bosworth’s career with the Seahawks and in the NFL was cut short due to injuries. He was never fully able to live up to the high expectations he had coming out of college.
New York also added Chase Clement, an undrafted tight end out of LSU, on Wednesday.
