Former Seattle Seahawks cornerback Marcus Trufant could be in for a reunion with his former defensive coordinator Gus Bradley, as Ryan O'Halloran of the Florida Times-Union reports that the veteran defensive back will spend Tuesday meeting with the Jacksonville Jaguars after flying to North Florida on Monday night.

Trufant, 32, has played in a reserve role for the past two seasons in Seattle as Richard Sherman and Brandon Browner became one of the NFL's better duos, but he may have an opportunity to compete for a starting role in Jacksonville where the team is exceptionally young at cornerback.
The Jaguars allowed the contracts of both Derek Cox and Rashean Mathis to expire and released Aaron Ross to completely gut the defensive back position. In the 2013 NFL Draft, the team drafted three cornerbacks and two safeties, but don't yet have an established starting pair of cornerbacks as training camp competition is expected to determine the winners of starting roles.

Typically I scoff at the “veteran teacher” notion with older players, but Trufant is someone we guessed the Jaguars could be interested in bringing because he’s familiar with the defensive scheme.
In 10 seasons with the Seahawks, Trufant started in 125 of the 136 games he played and recorded 21 interceptions, returning two for touchdowns.
