New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks will not miss the team's mandatory minicamp, as the former first-round pick showed up for the beginning of the three-day camp on Tuesday morning, according to USA Today's Mike Garafolo and Alex Raskin.
Hakeem Nicks arrives at Giants minicamp
Nicks missed OTAs earlier in the offseason, but he showed up for mandatory minicamp on Tuesday.

Nicks, 25, is looking for a new deal with the team, as he's entering the final year of a five-year, $12.54 million contract he signed as a rookie. To express his desire for a new contract, Nicks skipped the organized team activities earlier in the offseason, but would have been subject to fines if he missed minicamp, as well. Eli Manning is likely unsurprised by the news, as Nicks reportedly told the Giants quarterback of his plans to attend the camp.
Fellow wide receiver Victor Cruz will not be joining Nicks at minicamp, as the Pro Bowl receiver is also looking for a new contract after he received a first-round tender from the team in March. Unlike Nicks, Cruz is not required to attend the minicamp since he has yet to sign the tender and isn't technically under contract with the team.
Nicks had a down year in 2012, struggling through injuries and finishing with a career-low 692 yards receiving and three touchdowns. Still, NFL.com ranked Nicks as the No. 14 receiver in the NFL with his teammate, Cruz, just four spots behind.
