Barry Richardson signs with Titans, per report

Tennessee signed Barry Richardson after learning they’d be without three offensive line starters during this week’s mini-camp.

USA TODAY Sports

The Tennessee Titans decided to sign veteran free agent Barry Richardson in an effort to cover for some injury issues across their offensive line, according to The Tennesseean's Jim Wyatt. Richardson played last season with the St. Louis Rams after spending the first four years of his career on the offensive line of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Richardson doesn’t have the best reputation when it comes to the fans watching his teams over the past few seasons, but it’s hard to fault the Titans for signing the 6’6, 319-pound offensive tackle at this point in time.

Tennessee is currently missing starting left tackle Michael Roos, starting right tackle David Stewart and starting left guard Andy Levitre on its offensive line as all three are apparently going to be limited to individual work during this week's mini-camp.

Considering Richardson has been a full-time starter for the past three seasons, his experience should lend itself well to the banged-up group -- even if he eventually takes a backseat when the starters become healthy.
