Kaluka Maiava charged with assault in Maui
The Oakland Raiders linebacker and his brother are being charged after an incident at a bar occurred in March with two other men.

Maiava and his brother were both charged with third-degree assault (a misdemeanor) and fourth-degree criminal property damage (a petty misdemeanor) in Maui on Wednesday.
The charges resulted from an altercation at Life’s A Beach on March 17, but neither was arrested at the time. Instead, according to the report, summons were issued for each man on July 2 after prosecutors learned that they would be on the island.
Maiava played the first four years of his NFL career for the Cleveland Browns after being drafted in the fourth round of the 2009 NFL Draft. The 5'11, 226-pound linebacker started 13 games for Cleveland last season, recording two sacks and 30 tackles while forcing a pair of fumbles.
