Dennis Pitta injury: Ravens TE carted off field
The injury and severity are not yet known, but it’s always scary when a player has to be carted off of the field.

The type of Pitta's injury and its severity is still not known, the absence of Pitta would be a tough one for a Ravens team that already has to adjust to the absence of Anquan Boldin in 2013.
The 28-year-old Pitta has emerged as one of quarterback Joe Flacco's favorite targets in the Ravens passing game and has been highlighted as a player that could emerge as one of the NFL's premier tight ends.
Pitta caught just 41 passes for 406 yards in his first two NFL seasons, but finished 2012 with 61 receptions for 669 yards and seven touchdowns. He was given a restricted free agent tender this past summer, making him scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent following the 2013 season.
