Chance Warmack continues holdout from Titans training camp

The Titans’ first-round pick -- and potential starting right guard -- is still holding out, making things tough for his new coaching staff.

USA TODAY Sports

Chance Warmack still hasn't reported for duty with the Tennessee Titans. Unfortunately, it appears things might be getting contentious between the offensive lineman and the team that drafted him with the tenth overall pick, according to The Tenneseean's Jim Wyatt.

Warmack missed his fifth day of Titans training camp on Sunday, making him the last first-round pick to remain without a contract this season after Jonathan Cooper and Dee Milliner signed their contracts over the weekend.

It doesn’t sound like Warmack -- or at least his representatives -- are earning the offensive lineman any brownie points with his new coaching staff as the holdout continues, either. Head coach Mike Munchak summed up the details surrounding Warmack’s absence quite concisely to Wyatt over the weekend.

“They haven’t come to an agreement,” Munchak said. “It doesn’t seem very complicated to me. It’s just business is business, and they can’t agree.”

The biggest problem for Munchak is probably that the Titans planned for him to be the team’s starting right guard this season. The more practices he misses, though, the harder it will be to have him ready for that spot at the start of the NFL’s regular season.
