Ahmad Brooks was in headlines Wednesday morning due to an alleged warrant out for his arrest. It turns out the warrant for the San Francisco 49ers linebacker was filed for in error, however, according to NFL.com's Gregg Rosenthal.
Ahmad Brooks arrest warrant filed in error, per report
There isn’t a current arrest warrant out for the San Francisco 49ers’ linebacker, though charges could still be filed in Santa Clara County.

Santa Clara County Assistant District Attorney Karyn Sinunu-Towery told Rosenthal on Wednesday that the arrest warrant being filed “was a complete fumble on our part.”
“We have not completed the investigation,” Sinunu-Towery told NFL.com. “We recalled the warrant. We will announce next week whether or not we will press charges. I just want to confirm: There is no warrant outstanding. There is no arrest outstanding.”
This isn’t exactly the best news for Brooks because Sinunu-Towery is only clarifying that no arrest warrant has been filed yet, not that one will not be filed in the case.
The allegations leading to this current predicament indicate that 49ers teammate Lamar Divens was initially going to press charges against Brooks on June 8 when filing a police report, but later decided against pressing charges.
