Cleveland Browns guard Jason Pinkston suffered a high ankle sprain in Thursday night's game and is expected to miss four-to-six weeks, according to Cleveland.com's Mary Kay Cabot.

Pinkston, filling in at right guard for Shawn Lauvao, will likely miss at least the first three weeks of the regular season. That's approximately the same timetable for Lauvao's recovery, according to Cabot, meaning rookie Garrett Gilkey will be filling in as a starter for the near future.
Browns head coach Rob Chudzinski was pleased with Gilkey’s performance against Ndamukong Suh Thursday night and there doesn’t appear to be any panic out of Browns camp. From Cleveland.com:
“It was quite the challenge for [Gilkey],” said Chudzinski. “He’s not (Hall of Famer) Joe DeLamielleure yet, but he’s made big improvements over the course of the time that he’s been here. That was a good situation. Some young guys are really getting some opportunities to play against some good competition.”
The Browns are also dealing with injuries to rookie linebacker Barkevious Mingo and and a broken leg for running back Dion Lewis.
