The Indianapolis Colts rebounded nicely from a bad start to the preseason with a 20-12 win over the New York Giants on Sunday night. The Colts had received some staunch criticism from owner Jim Irsay following a 44-20 loss to the Buffalo Bills and responded well against New York, led by star quarterback Andrew Luck.
Colts vs. Giants 2013: Indianapolis fans impressed with Andrew Luck
Luck tossed two touchdowns in a strong showing for the Colts on both sides of the ball in a win over the Giants on Sunday.

Luck finished 9-of-13 for 107 yards and two touchdowns before giving way to backup Matt Hasselbeck. The Colts would finish with just 244 yards of total offense in the game but it was more than enough with the defense holding New York to just three first-half field goals. Giants quarterback Eli Manning finished 8-of-17 for 91 yards and an interception, with New York scoring no touchdowns on three trips to the red zone and collecting ten penalties on the night.
It was the play of Luck, however, that drew the focus of Josh Wilson at Stampede Blue, who says the second-year quarterback is playing as well as he ever has in a Colts jersey:
Luck was about as good as he has ever been tonight, and he only made one throw that I thought was clearly bad - and it was caught for a touchdown. He was very impressive, and his second touchdown pass of the night, to T.Y. Hilton in the end zone, was an absolutely PERFECT pass right over the defender's reach and Hilton leaped and grabbed it. Luck was tremendous and had local and national fans and media alike remarking about how good he really is. And it was clearly on display today.
The Colts next take on the Cleveland Browns in the third game of the preseason on Saturday, Aug. 24.
