Matt Elam did not lay out Greg Olsen when he had the chance, and Thursday night’s referee crew apparently took offense.

Matt Elam was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens at the end of the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft in part because of his penchant for laying the wood. He did not display that penchant on this play ...

... but he did earn a 15-yard penalty. Apparently Elam's reputation precedes him. James Harrison sends his condolences.
