Despite being flagged for 182 penalty yards, the Seattle Seahawks improved to 3-0 in the preseason with a 17-10 win over the Green Bay Packers.

It was a sloppy, penalty-riddled game as both teams struggled to find any offensive rhythm. Combined, the teams were penalized 22 times for a whopping 251 yards. The offenses got off to decent starts, with both first-team units driving down the field for field goals on their first possessions. Those two field goals, however, would be the only points until the game was well into the third quarter.
Aaron Rodgers played only one series, completing 4-of-7 passes for 41 yards. Seattle's Russell Wilson got a bit more action, playing into the third quarter. Wilson completed 11-of-17 passes for 126 yards. He was pressured frequently and threw two interceptions, including one on a tipped pass.
Seattle scored the first touchdown of the game in the third quarter when rookie running back Christine Michael broke free for a 43-yard touchdown run. Vince Young and the Packers answered right back with a game-tying touchdown drive. The teams traded punts into the fourth quarter when Stephen Williams continued his strong preseason, catching a 42-yard touchdown from Brady Quinn.
That proved to be enough for Seattle.
Fantasy studs and duds
With neither offense doing much and Green Bay’s starters not playing much more than a series, there weren’t many fantasy standouts. Michael played well for Seattle, racking up 97 rushing yards and a touchdown. He also added 25 yards on his lone reception. Young got some action with the third team, completing 6-of-7 passes for 41 yards. He also rushed for 39 yards.
Injury report
Morgan Burnett and DuJuan Harris left the game for Green Bay, but both players were spotted walking around the sidelines still in full pads. Michael Bennett came out temporarily for Seattle due to a knee injury before returning to the field a few plays later.
Did they cover?
The Seahawks were a three-point favorite according to OddsShark and managed to cover the spread thanks to Williams’ late touchdown. The two teams fell way short of the over/under which opened at 43-1/2.
